The Very First Grand National Truck Show

At the beginning of each year, and arguably the beginning of the Southern California Car Show Scene, the Fairplex in Pomona, California is filled with awesome rods for the Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS). Each year Building Nine is usually reserved for a special theme. This year 2023, the theme was Keep On Truckin’. This special part of the show was a big hit. So much so, that the organizers decided to create a spin-off; The Grand National TRUCK Show.

The Grand National Truck Show ran September 16-17 and was promoted as the premier truck only event for 2023. Anything with a bed or cargo department built from any manufacturer from 1900 to current, be it modified, restored, lowered or lifted was invited. And it did not disappoint.

The show filed buildings 4 and 6 with the surrounding areas for the Classic Truck Performance magazine Truck-In. There were several trucks competing for the inaugural “Worlds Most Beautiful Truck” award. See our gallery and the winner here. The buildings were filled with incredible rides, important vendors, a charity pinstripe art auction, and even a Corn Hole competition. At one end of Building 4 was the Van Corral with over 20 cool custom vans on display. We rolled around with Pinky in this video link here.

A great first time out for this show and sure to be an even bigger hit next year!
