At The Mantiques Network
One of the many specialties at The Mantiques Network is private party restorations.
They specialize in antique safes, barber poles/chairs, slot machines, coke machines. If it has paint, chrome, wood, and it’s cool and they like to restore it. They have a small crew to take special attention to each object. Being located in Southern California, there is a variety of specialist for plating, finishing, pinstriping and lettering.
They focus on using as many original parts as possible in their period correct museum quality restorations. They especially like the research part of the process. They do extensive research on the item and what type of finishes were on the item in it’s period in history like they did with the gum and baseball card machine. They can design the finishes to make a perfect compliment to the collectors style. Such is the case on the Barber Chair shown above.
You may have an item in your collection that would be ripe for restoration. There really is no easier way to do it than to send them some photos. They will review what you have, give you a call to discuss finishes and send you an estimate. When you are ready to restore, they will arrange all the pickup, packaging and shipping to and from your place.
