Jamco Announces New Name, New Offerings, New Locale and New Ownership
Tony Genty purchases family business, announces debut of Jamco Parts to reflect expansion of product lines, define new vision
Family owned and operated Jamco Suspension has changed its name to Jamco Parts. The name change follows the purchase of the company by Tony Genty, the son of the company’s founders Jim and Mary Ann Genty, and former chief operating officer of Original Parts Group.
Highly regarded in the automotive industry as the nation’s go-to resource for custom suspension and brake components, Jamco has thrived as the largest custom suspension dealer on the West Coast. This change in ownership signifies a new era of growth that will create an even stronger foundation as Jamco continues to serve its loyal and growing customer base.
“Classic car restoration is in my blood,” says Tony. “When my parents founded this business in 1985, their passion and commitment helped fulfill a critical gap in the restoration and custom car industry. Today, I am thrilled to announce that Jamco is taking several significant leaps to bring our customers’ restoration and preservation efforts to an even higher, end-to-end level.”
To accomplish this, Jamco is expanding its product offerings to include a complete line of restoration, aftermarket and performance parts for Ford, GM and Chrysler automobiles built between 1949-1972. New product lines for all classic cars will be added steadily throughout the coming months, including body and sheet metal, exterior chrome and trim, interior trim, lighting and weather stripping, to name a few.
The name change to Jamco Parts defines the shift that is taking place at the heart of the business as it takes on a stronger vision. The new brand insignia will be rolled out throughout 2016, including the launch of a new website (www.jamcoparts.com) and a new product catalogue, and the relocation of the Jamco headquarters from Corona, Calif. to Cypress, Calif. and a toll-free phone number (877) 549-9551
