#KidWrencher Series Part 3
The garage was a blazing this late winter. Garrett and his dad Ed did a lot of work on the truck.
I think they have made some great progress whereas Ed admits that they are hobbyist and these things take longer than those who do it everyday. Well, heck They have been really thrashin’ it. Remember in previous articles that they got all these panels from different sources and after they were all sandblasted and rust repair done, then it’s up to the fitment. They are at the final primer coat stage.
Ed shared a pic of the New Old Stock right rear fender was the only clean piece. It was found in an attic at a South Jersey body shop with the Ford part number printed on the red oxide.
Note the details like the raised Ford script dash that was only on the 1940 trucks. Even though it is a SBC powered street rod version, Garrett appreciates the little year specific details on the project.
All this and Garrett finished his Eagle Scout project and awarded the honor of Eagle Scout. Congratulations!
