There was no doubt that this young lady would grow up with a passion for some Fuel Fed Fun.
Sophie Cambra is the daughter of Ron and Laurie Cambra owners of Cambra Speed Shop in Orange, California. Her two older brothers were another big part of her appreciation for the street and strip. They have been building custom cars and bikes since they could hold a wrench.
IN IT FOR THE FUN OF IT!
She was a 12.90 Junior Drag Racer at age 8 and moved up to the 8.90 junior class when she turned 10. The next year she moved into the 7.90 Junior Class with a top speed of 87 mph! She recently finished the Frank Hawley School with her 7.90 Super Comp NHRA License.
Today, she is finishing up building her new dragster with her father and will soon be laying down some times on the qarter mile. No real aspirations to go full pro, but to have some FUEL FED FUN!
Her daily is a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. It’s a pretty safe car getting her to Cheer Practice at Orange Coast College. She says it’s a lot of fun and you can take the top off and go to the BEACH!
