In Memoriam: Sadly Randy passed away a few months after our visit to his Museum and the Hot Rod Shop.
Earlier we shared an article from Blacktop Magazine issue #27: Randy’s Drag Racing Museum. It showcased Randy Haapala’s NHRA Collection. After we toured the museum, he took us down a path on his property to what looked like an old western set. They were out buildings he built and adorned with all kinds of gas/oil signs and collectibles. At the end of the path was his Randy’s Hot Rod Garage. About 10K square feet of custom cars, hot rods and classics among tons of signs, memorabilia and even a gas station! Incredible.
Again, a big shout out to the guys at Cool Runnin’ Camaro’s for inviting me along on this great road trip and tour. Rest in Peace Randy.
