Newport Beach in October is usually pretty quiet. The cold dreary weather doesn’t make for great beach going. Especially when you are right on the sand at the Balboa Pier just a block away from the famed Balboa Fun Zone.
But the organizers of the Newport Beach Exotic/Classic Car Show and Music Festival have something else in mind. Let’s block off some of the highly valued parking lot and have a party! As one of the first years, I heard from many participants that the organization could have been better.
Yet, from what I see the variety of cars was a whole lot of fun. From California Style VW’s to Street Rods, Classic cars and custom trucks with even a couple of front engine dragsters the show had something for everyone’s taste.
One thing I found interesting was a group of teen boys that really dug the coral colored Thunderbird as one of their favorites.
