Car Crazy, Inc. is presenting the Bob Haagenson collection of miniature engines for auction with EBay Seller: “Kidzstuff1”.
Bob Haagenson of Pomona, California, a master at building model replica engines for decades has opened his collection for auction with expert EBay Kidzstuff1. Chris Unger and his staff at Car Crazy, Inc. will manage the auction and preview.
Countless hours in his smokey garage shop, Bob Haagenson built some of the most influential engines of all time. A true historian, Haagenson captured the entire Industrial Age on a 20’x20’ table. Watch the video of the collection of nearly 45 engines including early “hit and miss” power engines, classic automotive engines and radial aircraft engines on BlacktopTV. Some of the pieces are built from model kits and others are scratch built most as ¼ scale models. The miniature engines are “built to run”. Legend has it that Bob would invite his friends over for a showing of his latest piece. They would fire up the engines and return to a Pre-Modern Era. The engines are complete with hand-machined pistons, cylinders, valves and cranks. Running condition of each highly detailed engine is unknown. Special care and attention is needed to start them properly. We suggest an expert in model engines assist you in starting any of these highly detailed works. The Bentley BR2 9-cylinder Radial engine is reported to have severed a few fingers before it’s propeller was “altered”.
You can find details on all the engines on Car Crazy, Inc.’s Ebay seller page; Kidzstuff1. Some popular examples include early stationary motors, a blown 350 Chevy, Cadillac Flathead, an Offenhauser, Rolls Royce Merlin, a pair of radial engines and even a jet engine.
