The Long Beach Sultan’s do it again!
There are certain shows in Southern California that are “must-see” events. Early in the show season the Long Beach Sultans host this annual show in a cool tree covered park behind a bustling shopping plaza. Quite the juxtaposition when you roll tight between a Walmart and Lowes Home Improvement store and the cement and stucco opens up to eucalyptus trees and a broad grass field full of top quality customs and hot rods.
The show featured incredible raffle prizes, and grilled burgers and dogs. The park was packed as everyone was there to relax and talk as they strolled among the cars. Amazing turn-out as there were several other shows going on this same day. I hit this one first, then rolled over to the Edelbrock Car Show at their huge facility about 20 miles west in Torrance. Then over to “Pinups Against Bullying” show at Original Mike’s in Santa Ana, CA.
A great cross-section of automotive activities for the day. The K9 Show as a relaxing event with a bunch of friends, the mega-event at Edelbrock and a grass-roots local benefit. A very nice day indeed in So-Cal.
The Sultans are gracious hosts who parked their cars in the lot outside the park. Here are their really cool rides:
