The Easyriders Bike Show, in Anaheim, California started 2012 tour of this hard-core custom bike show. A one-day event, drew huge crowd of lookers, riders and hard-core bikers. A very cool show, with over 125 bikes on display, raging from old school choppers going back to 1960’s to mild customs to the outrageous customs. Of the outrageous bikes were the few trikes or as someone at the showed called it a big kid’s ‘Big Wheel’, including a side-car for a wheel chair owned Richie, who built the bike along with a custom guitar the match. Another over the top bike was a Chevy Powered 383 Stroker small block. One of the old school classics was the 1970’s style chopper ridden by Peter Fonda in the movie “Easy Rider” on display. There was a very cool display of other old school bikes in the display “Douche La Rouche”.
Of the many custom bike builders at the show, one that stood out was HIGHWAY 66 Choppers in Montclair, California. Owned by Clint Le Grant III, with twenty plus years of riding Harleys, repairing and building custom bikes. [Watch for a feature of Highway 66 soon! –Ed.]
The first Easyriders Bike Show Tour Event of the year was great! Paint….Chrome…..and leather. The mix of bikes were extreme, old school, completely un-restore to a new breed of school bikes. Customs….blew my mind, paint and design beyond belief. The “bagger’” style of bikes in force. Bobbers made a great impact along, the “BIG” wheel, billet wheel as large at 30” or even a little bigger. If this is what the rest of 2012 Easyriders Bike Show Tour will be like, be sure catch one of the many shows for 2012.
