Johnnie’s 1953 Oval Window Volkswagen Type 1.
A four year build that started with a fairly decent chassis with minimal bodywork. Still looking for some original parts such as the seat back, and windshield washer switch/pump. Other than that it is a pretty santo car. Fresh 2007cc mill with dual Webers by Brothers Performance out of Chino, and Rick Wright built the transmission at The Wright Gearbox out of Riverside.
In 1953 Volkswagen made some minor changes such as the ashtray and fuel tank. This European body features semaphores for the turn signals. Howdy Doody is right at home in the vintage car seat. Hope you dig it as much as I do.
