Father’s Day in Southern California is ripe with plenty of events. Ride out to Century Cycles was an old favorite with my motorcycle buddies. L.A. Roadsters Show is another favorite if you dig traditional hot rods and modern street rods, although now the show is only on Friday & Saturday leaving Father’s Day Sunday open for others. One remarkable year was when my boy Billy and my dad hit the Rodeo Drive Concours Show.
Lately I have been hanging out at the Cruisin’ Brea Classic Car Show put on by Flying Deuces‘ Craig Hoelzel. He packs the streets of downtown Brea with a wonderful mix of classics, hot rods, street rods, customs an a few notable imports as well. The street quickly fills up with families of several generations, such as that time my dad and boy went to Beverly Hills.
