Part Two of our #KidWrencher series following young Garrett Baldwin as he builds his ’40 Ford Truck.
Taking It Easy
At our last issue we heard about a young man in New Jersey, Garrett Baldwin and the 40 Ford Truck he is building with instruction from his father and grandfather. Today we get an update from his dad Ed.
They are not breaking any speed records on the truck but moving steady. They are in the process of sandblasting and prepping each piece for paint. Every week this summer they have gotten farther along and closer to completion.
Garrett’s patience has been amazing. He wants it as close to right, as they are capable of. When Ed asked him if he wants to move forward faster and slap it together, Garrett replied, that he would rather it take a little longer and have it right. Of course that answer made dad and grandpa very proud.
Garrett too is proud of the work he has done and the things he has learned along the way.
